Updated COVID Guidance
Updated COVID guidance.
To date, we have had three exposures to a positive COVID case at school. Two in the lower elementary building and one at the upper elementary.
If your student was traced to close contact with a confirmed COVID case at school, you would have been notified by your building principal.
Students that have a positive COVID test, have symptoms that meet the CDC’s COVID quarantine guidelines, or have been place under quarantine/isolation by a medical or state agency, will not be permitted on school grounds or at school activities until cleared and/or symptom free for 24 hours.
Vaccine, wearing a mask, and social distancing are the CDC’s recommended protection to minimized transmission of the virus or contracting it.
GPS does not quarantine. We will however not allow anyone with COVID symptoms as defined by the CDC, or a positive COVID test to be at school until a negative COVID test is obtained or symptom free for 24 hours.
Masks are available at all office entrances if your student wants to wear one, please do.
We will keep parents updated as situations and requirements change.
